ISDH Winter Webinar Series is Awesome!

Get your slippers ready and put the kettle on. The Irish Society for Disability and Oral Health are back and ready for another season of mid-week webinars on topics that make our care for our patients better. We are proud to present the first of this season’s ISDH Winter Webinars series.

TOPIC:

Vital Pulp Treatment: A contemporary alternative to extraction for patients with disabilities- Practicalities, Opportunities and Problems

Vital Pulp Treatment (VPT) is an especially valuable treatment option for people with disabilities. It is a minimally-invasive, biologically-based dental restorative solution that can be used to maintain teeth and their vitality. It can offer a simple, effective and predictable alternative to traditional Root Canal Therapy / extraction with suitable case selection and technique. VPT offers functional benefits to this population who tend to have extractions rather than restoration.

The aim of this interactive presentation is to give attendees an introduction to VPT from a scientific and practical viewpoint in relation to its use among people with disabilities.

Expert Presenter: Dr Hal Duncan

This Webinar is delivered by an International expert on Vital Pulp Treatment: Dr Hal Duncan. Dr Duncan is Consultant in Endodontics in the Dublin Dental University Hospital and Trinity College Dublin and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham. Hal has an impressive list of publications regarding biological management of pulp disease. Hal is a veritable expert in this field and we are delighted for the ISDH learning community to learn from the best.
