Irish Society of Disability and Oral Health Awards 2019

The ISDH award a number of bursaries each year for essays, case-reports or completed projects on any aspect of Special Care Dentistry. In 2019 three awards were made, two awards were sponsored by the Dental Health Foundation and one award was sponsored by DeCare Ireland.

Message from our new President Dr Grace Kelly

I am honoured to have been elected as ISDH president for 2020. Since my first annual ISDH conference over ten years ago, I always felt part of an inclusive group of passionate, like-minded people, who advocate for the vulnerable population of Ireland. Being part of the committee over the past few years, despite working in the UK, I felt this sense of inclusion to an even greater extent.

The Irish Society for Disability and Oral Health (ISDH) welcomes the additional support for vulnerable people to access oral healthcare and improve their oral health outlined in the national oral health policy.

Vulnerable children and adults have more untreated oral disease, missing teeth and total tooth loss compared to the general population in Ireland. The society is delighted to announce the June Nunn Prize for 2019. The June Nunn Prize, sponsored by DeCare Dental, will be awarded for a Service Innovation or Development in the area of Special Care Dentistry. Who can enter?
